Overview
The Chemistry Laboratory follows the latest CBSE safety guidelines. It features a central fume extraction hood system for every workstation, acid-resistant ceramic-top benches, individual gas taps, distilled water RO plant, reagent storage cabinets (corrosives and organics stored separately per PESO norms), digital analytical balances, colorimeters, pH meters, flame photometers and a 12-station volumetric analysis setup designed for Class X and XII Board practicals.
Qualified lab assistants and a dedicated Lab In-charge oversee all practical sessions. Safety drills — acid spill neutralisation, fire blanket, eye-wash station — are practised once every term. All reagents are colour-coded and labelled per Globally Harmonised System (GHS); material safety data sheets (MSDS) are maintained in a central file available for staff review at all times.
